Welcome to R/Strong Performance. We are a strength and athletic performance company that seeks to build up lifelong athletes through evidence based practices and teamwork.
R/Strong has been a work in progress, really, for a long time. But it wasn't until 2020 that I decided to get real about R/Strong. For years I dabbled around with R/Strong as a side-hustle to my main obligation as Director of Athletic Performance at William Jewell College. But now, we, as in myself and my family, are all in on R/Strong.
As our mission statement states, we want to "build up lifelong athletes" through strength and athletic performance training. Whether you're a current athlete, or an adult who called it an athletic career a decade(s) ago, we believe you are an athlete at heart. Through our training services, we want to build up and unleash that athlete in you.
Here is something else we believe - You R/Strong, Train Like It.
You like that tagline? I came up with it myself. I'm pretty proud, as you can tell.
We believe you are stronger than you think you are, and your training should reflect that. We use evidence based practices to get you where you want to be. Legit, effective, smart training.
If you're a current athlete, we will build strength, gain muscle, improve speed and agility, etc. In other words, we will enhance your athletic tools to help you compete at your highest level.
If you're an adult/former athlete. See above. Again, we believe you are an athlete at heart. We will use a lot of the same methods, but structured slightly differently to help you train for life.
Here are a few other things we believe in.
Strength beyond the barbell. Training isn't just about lifting as much weight as you can. More importantly, training builds confidence and discipline.
Train for your potential. Legit training will being out the best in you. We are always pushing the limits, in a smart way, to keep you on track toward your goals.
There is strength in numbers. There is no greater feeling than being a part of a team. We aim to build a community of people who straight up GET AFTER IT and support each other along the way.
If you want to join R/Team, we would love to have you, either in-person or remotely.
Get strong, stay strong.
