Summer 2024 is here! Summer is a great time to GET AFTER IT in the weight room, but there are some things to consider when planning your summer training program. In episode 63 of the R/Strong Podcast, I give out a few do's and dont's to making summer training as effective as possible!

DONT

  1. Cram a whole year of S&C into these next 8 weeks

  2. Treat it like a true offseason (for the multi-sport athlete)

  3. Have strength "max out day" to start the summer

DO

  1. Prioritize quality over quantity

  2. Reward athletes getting better - build buy in!

  3. Build leaders and team camaraderie (i will never spell that word right on the first try)

Check out the episode below!

Reminder we will launch our summer training at R/Strong Performance on June 3rd. We have training options for athletes 1-12th grade. Let's #GetBetter this summer!

Looking forward to a STRONG SUMMER at the Strength Shed!
