Last weekend I was fortunate to attend the Strength and Sports Performance Coach Certification, hosted by Coach Zach Even-Esh. Coach Even-Esh is a legend in the strength and conditioning field and he put together one hell of an experience for us coaches.

Even more.. it was hosted at the legendary Sorinex HQ in Lexington, South Carolina. This place is decked out with all the nicest training equipment, and also has a full blown strength museum, documenting the progression of strength and conditioning equipment over time. It's an epic place.

It was a great weekend meeting and learning from so many great coaches. Here are a few short takeaways.

Don't try and sound like a doctor. It's okay to say,"I have no idea."

Know who you are and your purpose

Don't overcomplicate training. Simplicity wins

Be ready and willing to change with the world, but stay true to you

Know what you're the best in the world at, what you're good at, and what you suck at

I expand on these notes on episode #33 of the R/Strong Podcast. Check it out below.
